Car Video Demo Edit
far as I’m concerned just junk’em. Cars are a big enough headache with out
buying a known likelihood to have issues vehicle. It’s not like there’s a
This guy is nasty. I would not shake his hand. He touches everything.
I’ve had mine for a few years with no problems. I saved over 8k on it, too.
Nice little Chevy Cobalt SS.. but Chevy goes on forever- regardless of
conditions- so I guess that might be why. I always tell people to buy from
someone honest and with a good reputation: they let you know it’s a flood
title and someone has bought from them before (and they’ve owned the car
for a few years.)
my car is a flood car. 2005 g35. i got it in 2007. still driving it in 2013
Thank g_d there were no insurance companies around at Pearl Harbor when
they raised 5 battle ships and a couple of tenders and destroyers. The were
definitely flooded and had miles of wiring and connectors and electronics
and set for months under salt water. Ever wonder how sailors put out a fire
on the Enterprise of Kittyhawk? Not with fresh water.
Computers are sealed just for that reason, water damage. If a car keeps its
oil and grease in it ought to keep the water out. That said, just change
your motor oil, change your transmission fluid, change your power steering
fluid, Brake fluid absorbs water and you can’t tell so flush that system,
change differential oil, most diffs have a vent with a valve that closes
when you enter water but some stick open so change that oil anyway.
Next change your air filter. Take out your car seats and carpet, put a fan
on them to dry them out after you spray them with “Mold away”. Copper
wiring doesn’t corrode , I mean look at a 15th century Spanish galleon’s
cannons under the ocean for 300 years and they clean up like new, made of
bronze=copper/tin. Pull—-all—-electrical connectors (they are make of
tinned steel) spray with WD40, blow out reconnect. Remove headlight bulbs,
tail light bulbs, drill hole in bottom of housing and
But you know as a former sailor, evinrude-honda-john deer factory trained
mechanic and once I-Car Certified collision specialist and custom
automobile builder. I can say I have bought/restored and used 2 sunken 20 &
22ft inboards, and haven’t bought a auto-truck-cycle since 1975 from
anywhere but a salvage. I currently own a totaled 08 meanstreak, a 06
totaled solstice, a totaled 04 polaris, and a totaled 05 jeep.
thank you again
does it effect the paint ?
That poor STi. I hope it was saved.
Shame on the asshole who allowed their beautiful Fusion to be flooded.
Thank u for this video. Very informative and helpful.
Did that dude really say that the rear seat belt buckles “..Have definitely
been exsorbed by the flood damageness” at about the 3:02 mark? Seriously,
whats up with the background music?!
I would put up a fight with my insurance company for them to total out my
flooded car. I can not believe that any car that has water sitting in it
has a chance of lasting no matter how deep the water was. If it’s a car
that is still under new car warranty it would probably void that and your
left paying for electrical issues or trying to sell a flood titled car. No
Well, it is not easy to find out due to detail shops. They clear up every
single point. Best bet should be taking off door moldings. However, good
Poor cars I love both of them
The 6 people that thumbs downed this are flood scammers
car looks pretty fucking clean for being flooded
I got a kick out of this vid! On any built in the last twenty years, a
‘flood car’ is a ‘salvage for parts car’. They completely glossed-over or
didn’t bother to mention the transmission, which is equipped w/ ‘breather
holes’. ANY incursion of water into the trans. is a ‘death-notice’ for the
seals, whether the fluid is changed or not! The seals have already begun to
‘swell’ and that is a guaranteed early failure.
A catalytic-convertor can withstand being submerged in water, but not the
dirt residue the forms a ‘film’ inside after it dries. You’ll have to live
with ‘check engine’ light from then on until it either cleaned or replaced.
This applies to the ‘pre-cat’ 02 sensor as well, if the car is equipped
If the car has a ‘chip control’, the sensors will cause the car to never
run properly, causing poor mileage and hesitation.
Also, the car’s wheel-cylinders for each brake are not designed to
withstand being under water…the cylinders’ synthetic-rubber internal
ring-seals will swell and fail.
Best bet? Don’t buy a suspected flood car! Period.
The VW oil can look like that if they use ceratec additive to the motor
Is flood damage vehicle are to repair?
I. Ought a 2005 Lamborghini G last. Onto it rained and I left the car
outside in the driveway I live in the lower mainland and the car got
flooded up to the mAtts 4-6hrs later I ran out and cleaned it took me 2 hrs
I tore the car apart there no water but there is damps I do t have flood
warranty I think and I just bought it I’m worried it runs perfectly fine
and the engine is fine what should I do?
